Rules for Roleplay*Always, always check the News and Announcement forum for updates! Bookmark it if you wish.General Posting Requirements:- You have to make 3-5 posts minimum in the forum per week, with each post consisting of not less than 5 sentences.
- Post on your shrine at least once every 2 weeks. If you fail to post within 3 weeks, your character will be open for application.
Storyline- All roleplays should be maintained to be updated to the manga of Ouran High School Host Club. So all incidences, actions, events are to be centered on this.
- ALL roleplayers must (as much as possible) keep updated on the current happenings in the manga and the roleplay.
Roleplaying Guidelines:- Always use third person and past tense when roleplaying.
- ALWAYS remember to roleplay in-character.
- Refrain from over-using italics, bold, and underline. Italics are reserved for internal thoughts of a character.
- All out-of-character comments should be placed in ((double parentheses)) or **double asterisk**
- Always use line breaks or paragraphs.
- Avoid one-liners. Make sure to not only add dialogue in roleplaying but actions and mannerisms as well. Minimum amount of lines per post is 5 sentences.
- Always post threads on the correct boards.
- Please remember to indicate the time and day of the roleplay so that roleplayers will not end up having to handle so many threads at a certain time. In indicating the time and day please follow this format:
Subject: [Week Number] Thread Title - Day, Time of Day
For example:Subject: [W1] Late for Work - Wednesday, Late AfternoonPlease make sure that someone hasn’t opened a thread at the same place and time as yours.
Also please post the following in the Timeline Planning thread each time you start a roleplay so that the calendar may be updated:

- If you want to invite others for a roleplay, please PM them or email them. You could also plan upcoming threads in the News and Announcements. Threads should be planned before they begin and if you were not a part of the planning for that scene then your entrance might disrupt the plot. So please notify the other RP-ers before you enter a thread (contact them through PM or e-mail).
- Do not powerplay. Do not perform another roleplayer’s actions, or dialogues for them unless there isn’t a specific RP-er for that character. This also means NO GOD-MODDING.
- Please follow the post order. If Tamaki posts in a certain thread first, then Haruhi, then maybe Mori you must follow that order until a new character comes in (or a current leaves) until the thread is finished.
- For those who would like to roleplay as a character, please fill in the Roleplayer Application Form. Applications will now be screened in the forums so all applications should be posted here. As a special requirement, we would like you to also insert the word "king" into your sample roleplay in the most creative way possible. ^_^
- Contact an admin, a global moderator, or the Ouran High School Host Club moderator when you have finished a thread (and, consequently, need to close it) or when your thread changes locations.
- We are requiring all the roleplayers with the roles of main characters to have at least 3 threads at a time and at least 6 threads per week (in the roleplay timeline). For minor characters at least 2 threads at a time, and at least 4 threads per week. If you wish to do more than the minimum threads asked you are encouraged to do so.
Customers: Specific Roleplaying Guidelines:- Please keep in mind that you are participating as a customer, not as the reader of the manga. You are now taking part in the Ouran world meaning everything you see will be limited to what you as a customer will see only. (e.g. The customer doesn't know that Haruhi and the rest went to Karuizawa, or that Haruhi is afraid of thunderstorms.) Disclosing such information will be considered god-moding, and the Host Club roleplayers have the right to abandon the customer's thread.
- Because you are now a student of Ouran Academy, you are required to act and behave with proper manners and etiquette, or at least try to. Profanity is moderately allowed though it is highly discouraged as the establishment is GP in nature. Mature content will be dwindled down to tasteful descriptions and nothing else.
- Please don't sexually harass our roleplayers.
